Enry 353: Snowmagedeon

They are predicting 8-12 inches of snow for today. Lance had school called off last night and Julie decided that she wasn't going in either. We are all stocked up and just going to sit back and watch it fall today.

Entry 352: Royals Fan Fest

Last night the Kansas City Royals held their second annual FanFest. This year was a little different because they opened it a day early for all season ticket holders. We weren't really sure what to expect because last year it was a lot of people and pushing and shoving. This year we were very happy with how it was done. It was a lot less people and it was very easy for us to get autographs and meet the players. Overall we both enjoyed it and it was a great way for us to get excited for the upcoming season.

Here we are with Lucas May and Melky Cabrera.

We were able to get autographs from Lorenzo Cain and Bruce Chen.

Here is Julie with the Royals mascot Slugerr.

We were able to get Billy Butler's autograph last night also.

Entry 351: More Snow

Just when it seemed like the snow was going to go away, another batch came in this afternoon. The only person in our house that enjoys the snow is Maggie as you can see from the picture below.

Entry 350: Movie Day

We both were lucky enough to have Monday off in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. Lance's sister and brother-in-law were nice enough to give us an AMC theater gift card and we decided to use it on a movie. We decided to go and see The Dilemma and we were both pretty upset that we wasted part of the gift card on it. The movie wasn't really funny and you knew what was going to happen throughout the whole movie. We both left the movie pretty depressed about how bad it was, so we decided to cheer ourselves up and had lunch at Panera. It was nice to have some time to just relax with each other.

Entry 349: The Biggest Loser Bet

We have decided that this baseball season we want to go to a Royals away game. We made this decision pretty quickly, but then we have been struggling about which away series to go to. We have it narrowed down to four cities: Seattle, Cleveland, Toronto, and Tampa Bay. Without divulging to much information, let’s just say that Lance likes two of the cities and Julie likes the other two cities. Now this is where The Biggest Loser comes in. The new season started last week and we both decided to pick three people on this season and whoever has the last player standing wins. Now what does the winner get; they get to pick the city we go to for the Royals game. After the rules were laid out (the biggest is that you had to pick at least one girl), the coin was flipped and Julie got first pick. If you look below you will see the players Julie and Lance choose and if you click their name you can see the players bio.

Julie chose: Arthur, Courtney, and Moses

Lance chose: Rulon, Austin, and Jennifer

This is what we call a compromise because Julie loves watching The Biggest Loser and it will give Lance a reason to watch it. May the best Huebner win.

Entry 348: When The Cats Away...

Since Lance has a snow day today, he was picking up around the house. All was well until he heard a commotion downstairs and when he walked down he saw the dogs playing. This is an everyday occurrence and we decided to share it with everyone.

Entry 347: Snow Day

In case you can't tell from the picture or the title of this post, today Lance had a snow day. There is nothing better than waking up at 5:15 in the morning and then finding out a few minutes later that school has been cancelled. What makes it even sweeter is that Julie has to go to work which means Lance has the house to himself all day.

Entry 346: Funny Bobby Story

Lance recently took Bobby to the vet and in typical Bobby fashion he caused trouble. The vets office had a Christmas tree up and when Lance wasn't looking for a second, Bobby went over to the tree and peed all over it. Another typical Bobby moment.

Entry 345: Is Julie A Traitor?

In case you didn't know Julie has officially caught Kansas City Chiefs fever. She has been watching the Chiefs all season and since they made the playoffs she decided to celebrate by buying a Matt Cassel jersey. This is funny because Julie now has a Chiefs jersey and Lance has a Rams jersey. Most people would think this would be the other way around.

Entry 343: Get Ready

It has been quite some time since we last updated the blog, so get ready because here comes the updates.

Entry 344: Christmas With The Bruders

We were lucky enough to be able to spend Christmas this year with Julie's mom and dad. All of the weather forecasters were predicting a winter storm to arrive during that night, so we decided to beat the storm and made our way to the farm. Upon arriving Lance helped Kent put the train together and Julie and her mom spent time catching up.

Friday night was the Bruder Christmas Eve party. It was a fun time for all, but by far the highlight for Lance was going outside and shooting the AK-74. It is the same gun used by the Russian Army and Lance loved it.

Saturday was Christmas and we opened presents and went to church.

All in all it was a fun time.
