Entry 70: The Swing

We were in Target the other day and found a nice porch swing that we both thought looked nice and was on sale. After much discussion we decided to buy it. It took us a few days to put it together (long story there), but it should be very nice in the summer to just sit back and relax.

Entry 69: The Manly Shower

Today Lance's school was nice enough to throw us a bridal shower. It was all about Lance from the get go. The food was all of Lance's favorites: wings from Buffalo Wild Wings, chocolate covered strawberries in the shape of tuxedos, and carrot cake. Lance was happy enough with just the food, but they even brought us gifts. Lance's coworkers really outdid themselves and we both truly appreciate the effort that they put in to make this day so memorable. We are both truly fortunate to have such great friends in our lives.

Entry 68: Shaking Our Booties

On Wednesday night Julie got a chance to meet some of Lance's students when he was the dj for the special services dance. It was a tropical theme and lets just say that we pulled out all the stops. We played some "Who Let The Dogs Out", "Cha Cha Slide", and even the "Macarena". When we left Julie turned to Lance and asked if that was what my day was always like, and his response was "take that times 8 hours a day". Enjoy the pictures.

Entry 67: New Phones

As the wedding comes closer we have decided that it is time to consolidate some of our things. So this week we decided to go and get Julie a new cell phone. She looked at all of the phones that were there and even though Lance knew what one she would pick out the moment he saw it, Julie looked at each one. The final choice was a completely pink phone. Along with the phone, Julie also got a free cell phone case along with a free hands free device. I guess there is no turning back now that we are on the family plan.

Entry 66: A Perfect Combination

Let me give you a little math problem here. The Kansas City Royals + Mothers Day = A Perfect Combination. In case you can't tell we went to the Royals game today and lets just say that when we actually attend a game the Royals are 2-0. In other words we are kind of like good luck charms for the Royals. It was a good game today, but man was it windy and cold. The weather was 60 degrees, but unfortunately the wind was about 25-30 miles an hour and we were unfortunately sitting in the shade. This was all made up for though by the fact that Julie received a pink Kansas City Royals shirt in honor of Mothers Day (I know what people may be thinking and the answer is that Julie is not a mother and not an expectant mother). Enjoy the pictures we took at the game.

Entry 65: Happy Mothers Day

We both wanted to wish our mothers, Nancy and Kay a happy mothers day. We are both so blessed to have such caring and compassionate women in our lives that we can call mom. We truly love you both.

Entry 64: Take Me Out To The Ballgame

Last night we were lucky enough to be invited to go to the Royals game with Julie's sister Mary and brother in law Phillip. It was threatening to rain all day, but as always the weather forecasters were wrong and no rain fell on us. As you will see from the pictures below we had great seats and had a perfect view of everything. It was a great game with the Royals finally getting out of their offensive slump and just battering the Angels 9-4. The best part of the night was that Julie's favorite Royals player, Zack Greinke, was pitching and Julie yelled at him during most of the game. It warms Lance's heart to see that Julie is slowly converting to a Royals fan. Enjoy the pictures from the game.

Entry 63: The Woman's Bathroom

Well the transformation of the upstairs bathroom to being all Julie's is near completion. Julie found a pattern that she absolutely loved at Kohl's and Lance loved it also because it was on sale. Below you will see pictures of what Julie has done. Martha Stewart watch out.
