Entry 298: New Roof

The ordeal of getting our roof replaced is finally over. We both think it looks nice, but it really tried our patience. It was supposed to be an easy job, until they found out that the plywood on our roof was not up to code. It has to be 1/2 inch thick and ours was only 1/4 inch thick. Naturally this had to be replaced, so there was a lot of banging and as you can see from the entry below a few feet coming through our ceiling. We were promised it would be done Monday, but they ran out of shingles and told us that they would come back on Tuesday to finish it. Tuesday rolled around and guess what, no roofers. Wednesday they came back at 7:30 in the morning and when Lance went out to talk to them they apologized and said that they brought the wrong shingles, but promised they would be back at 5:00. Lance proceeded to call the company and complain which must have gotten something accomplished because they were back later that day and finished the job. We are both happy with the end result, now we just have to wait for the company to come and fix the ceiling.
